PAUL BRUCE
Creative Director
I started my career as an art director at Mother London. From Mojo here in Australia I went to write and direct creative projects at the Glue Society. Working solo, writing and art directing for BMF and at the Monkeys I became Creative Director across Ikea, The University of Sydney, and Blackmores. Then came the chance chance to be creative director across Hyundai and Kia at Innocean Worldwide. Right now, I’m working with Leo Burnett, Sydney.
I am very lucky that with the help of some very talented people, I have made a cricket shoe fly for NIKE, calculated all the energy it takes to make a fishfinger for SBS, made a Saddam Hussein branded lunchbox for the children of Iraq and SOLO lucky undies for the Festival of the Round Ball. I have given everyone the chance to meet their hero over a beer, wrapped up big logos for Xmas and told every Australian they deserve Sprouts from NRMA.
I’m proud to say I’ve played my part in many agency of the year titles, helped win new business and have been lucky enough to pick up awards along the way. I have been National Head of AWARD School, Australia’s premier course in ideas and creativity and continue to help current AWARD school students. My goal now is to keep focusing on great work, creating innovative and inspiring creative environments for teams, and working with good people who love making great work.
